The Brown Cottage

The Brown Cottage is a spectacular 1891 Italianate cottage with breathtaking ocean views and a walk-to-everything convenience, is available for weekly rentals during the month of August. The entire house has been professionally decorated by Colleen Bashaw Interiors and has been featured in House and Garden Magazine.

Minimum Stay Requirements
Summer - 7 night minimum, Saturday to Saturday
Off Season - 2 nights w/ Saturday
Beach Service - Guests can use the Virginia Hotel's Beach Service.
Check-in/Check-out - Guests can check in at the Virginia, year-round.

House Rentals

The Brown Cottage offers three bedrooms on the 3rd floor, a master bedroom on the second floor and two additional bedrooms on the ground level.

The First Floor - Side porch with 2 day beds, and 2 rocking chairs. Living room with wood fireplace and large, all down sectional. 50" plasma TV, DVD, Stereo, 400 disk CD changer, MP3 player hook-up. (Speakers throughout first floor.) Large porch with 8 rocking chairs. Dining Room with table that can sit up to 12-14 people. Wood burning fireplace. Kitchen with French stove w/ double oven, sub zero refrigerator and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and large sink with garbage disposal. Fully stocked with cooking utensils, copper pots, and dishes. Bar - Glass enclosed green room with bar sink, small drinks refrigerator and icemaker.

The Second Floor - Powder room. Large ocean view bedroom with king size bed, sofa, club chair, automatic blinds, 26" LCD TV, DVD, VCR, Stereo, (Speakers through out entire floor). Large ocean view bathroom with large Jacuzzi tub, large glass enclosed shower w/ bench, double sink vanity, and towel warmer. Large porch with ocean views, with 2 daybeds, and dining table for 4. Small bar with bar sink and small drinks refrigerator.

The Third Floor - 1 ocean view bedroom with king bed with private ocean view bathroom w/ glass enclosed shower & claw foot tub. 20" LCD TV & DVD. 1 ocean view bedroom with queen bed with private ocean view bathroom w/ vintage tub. Room also has a daybed/window seat. Also 20" LCD TV and DVD. 1 town view bedroom with full bed with private bathroom with glass enclosed shower. 15" LCD TV & DVD.

Basement - 1 larger queen bedroom with private bathroom w/ shower. Also 25" TV and DVD. Garden views. 1 small full bedroom with private bath w/ tub. Also 15" TV. Garden view. Also has own garden entrance. Living room with pull out queen sofa bed. TV, DVD, VCR, Stereo. Kitchen with gas range/oven, microwave, full refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, sink and garbage disposal. Stocked with dishes. Basement has private entrance from yard.
