The Red Cottage

You can lull yourself to sleep with the rhythmic sound of the waves or step out on the balcony to watch the waves lapping against the sand when you stay in our favorite place.

The Red Cottage, a red and white Queen Anne Victorian, is located on Cape May's oldest street. The fire of 1878 destroyed 35 acres of Cape May, including all of the buildings on Jackson Street. They were rebuilt in the style of the era-the Victorian era. The home was built for Harry and Dorothy Parker from Philadelphia in 1899. The Parkers used it as their summer "cottage".

Bed and Breakfast Stays

Turret Suite - Rest amongst the moon and the stars in this third floor, two bedroom suite. A two-bedroom suite that encompasses the entire third floor. One bedroom has a queen size bed (and a great ocean view), the other has a king size bed. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. The sitting room has a wet bar and LG flat screen TV. There is also a small private deck overlooking Jackson Street and an additional private seating area located in the rear of the suite. The private bath has shower only. **charge an additional $25 per person for more than 2 people.

Jackson Suite - At the front of the second floor, it includes a queen bed, an adjoining sitting room. A small flat screen TV is in the bedroom, while a private porch overlooking Jackson Street. It has a private bath with a shower only.

Holly Suite - The largest one bedroom suite has a king bed, a private sitting room, an LG flat screen TV in the bedroom, a wet bar and a private bath with shower only. It is located on the beach side of the second floor facing the Holly House.

Windward Suite - includes a queen size bed, an adjoining sitting room with a standard TV and a private bathroom with a claw foot tub/shower. It is on the mall side of the second floor facing the Windward House.

Ocean Terrace Room - Queen-bedded single room on the main floor of the cottage with a private entrance, a partial ocean view, standard TV and a shower. It is located on the back of the first floor.
